Fawad Khan and Atif Aslam Sang for the Battle of Bands

Pakistan’s heartthrob Fawad Khan and singing sensation Atif Aslam has been featured in the new promotional video for the Pepsi’s battle of the bands competition. The video has been released in the middle of July, where Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam and Meesha Shafi were seen singing into a mash-up of Vital Sings ‘Do Pal Ka Jeewan’ and Alamgir’s ‘Dekha Na Tha’.
This is happening after a long time when Fawad Khan, who is mostly known for his award-winning acting skills, singing for a music video. Fawad was a singer of his band ‘Entity Paradigm.’ The new promotional video song also features Shahi Hasan of Vital Signs of New York. The battle of the bands is a music competition between number local bands, where almost 120 entries have been received by organizers so far.
The competition will be aired from July 30, where the audience will see Fawad, Meesha and Aaroh’s Faroo. Out of 120 entries, the organizer will shortlist the names of newly talented participants, who will be able to perform in front of three judges. The battle of bands was first broadcasted on Pakistani television in 2002, where audience discovered a number of local talents and bands like Aaroh and Meekal Hasan Band and Entity Paradigm.
Popular actor Fawad Khan’s musical journey was started with Pepsi and now he once again will be seen singing for an event sponsored by Pepsi. The musical event has been launched with the aim of giving the declining culture of bands a new life. It also provides local talents a platform to prove their talent and skill. According to the organizers, it is going to be the biggest musical event the country has ever seen.
