The female higher education structure of Pakistan is soon going to be developed, as France has revealed their interest for collaboration with Pakistan to promote female higher education. Martine Dorance, French Ambassador made her visit to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU) in Peshawar, where she expressed her visions regarding the collaboration. She told that she would discuss the matter with their officials on how to collaborate with Pakistan in terms of higher education for women and on few other sectors. She also told both of the Government had worked together and put their efforts enhancing education and others in the past.
Emphasizing on the issue of equality, she expressed her concern by saying no nation could be able to climb up unless women get the equal right on everything. What both of the Governments could do is to collaborate over the field of Female higher education and explore various opportunities among different fields. She mentioned women in France own the responsibility of educating the child whereas most of them are working women. Every year couple of students from Pakistan visit France to pursue higher education from there, she told they would like to see increased number of students there.
The French Ambassador had already spoken to the Chairman of Higher Education Commission regarding the requirement of increased number of female students in different Universities of France. Dr. Razia Sultana, SBBWU Peshawar Vice Chancellor Professor told that not only the education they would stretch out their helping hands to the students to walk on their chosen path. It sounds strange that an educated girl would have to sit at their home; every person should contribute something in the process of the betterment of the society, she told.
