According to the latest reports, the common people across Pakistan are becoming victims of fraudulent activities and the number is uprising day by day. Following numerous reports and allegations, the media wing of Pakistan has decided to look into the matter. Of late, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan Army has issued a notification regarding the matter. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) also issued a warning and asked the common people not to share their personal details with fraudsters. There were numerous incidents where the fraudsters revealed their identity as army officials.
The official statement made by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) also read that there were numerous reports of false telephone calls being made to the general public by individuals pretending as Pakistan Armed Forces officials. The official statement further stated that the impersonators would seek many personal details counting Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) and details of bank accounts on the pretext of census verification. The statement also read, “Please be aware that no such calls are being made from Pakistan Armed Forces,”
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) had made an appeal to the common citizens of Pakistan to prevent such fraudulent activities from frequent occurrence. They had also instructed not to respond to such calls. In case they get such phone calls, they asked to report the case immediately on emergency helpline UAN 1135 and 1125. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed that such cases were rising high and the awareness campaign would help to prevent it effectively. Presently, the news has created a widespread buzz across the country.
