The First Six Lane Flyover Opened Up In Bangladesh


According to the latest report, Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh has inaugurated the foremost six-lane flyover of Bangladesh at Mohipal located in Feni district on January 4.  The entire event took place through a video conference from her official home at Ganabhaban. The construction work on the 660-metre long six-lane flyover project had begun in the year of 2015 and the work has been finished about six months earlier of its schedule. The entire project had the cost of Tk181.48 crore. Mesars Abdul Monem Limited and Engineering Construction Division of Bangladesh Army have executed the entire work of the flyover. The flyover consists of 11 spans and 132 guarders with a width of 25 metres.

The service road is 1,370 metres in length whereas the service road is 7.5 metres in width and the towpath lengths about 2,210 metres.  In the event of its inauguration, the prime minister remarked that the government has put their endless efforts and been initiating for a progressive growth and prosperity of Bangladesh. she remarked that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had brought the Independence for them and they should stretch out their helping hands towards the track that he wished to build for the country.

Hasina also remarked that the government is trying to push Bangladesh to emerge as a middle-income country by 2021.  She added that they would celebrate their 50th anniversary of independence in 2021, hence they were trying to construct the country as a hunger- and poverty-free nation. Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, the Bangladesh Army Chief General also delivered his precious speech on the occasion.
